Series premise - based on the books since I haven't seen the series:
The series is based on the Blood Ties series of novels by Tanya Huff.
The central character is private detective Vicki Nelson who left the police because she was losing her sight, her vampire lover Henry FitzHugh and her human lover, police detective Mike Cellucci. Aside from fighting supernatural nasties, there's quite a bit of tension between the two males.
But when the chips are down, they all fight side by side.
Blood Ties will air on Lifetime in the US, starting February 2007. In Canada, it will air on Chum/CityTV later this year.
