David Bjerre is one of my friends, but one with real film credentials. I like to think of him as Denmark's version of Tarantino since he works in a DVD shop and has made his own short film, Gabriel's Word (which I haven't had the chance to see yet!). The movie received very nice reviews when it was screened at The Film Institute
Besides his day job working at Laserdisken, a DVD specialty shop, and reviewing films for their website, he had a radio show at small radio station XFM - about movies of course, and has written reviews for Danish magazine Alt om DVD (Everything about DVD).
In his spare time, he writes movie scripts and keeps up his fansite for lovely Taiwanese actress Shu Qi and plays a mean hand of poker.
In his really spare time he runs a website about Asian Cinema - he likes scary movies and has a weakness for really silly teen comedies at which the Koreans excel.
Current project in his really, Really, REALLY spare time, is putting together his new 985 piece LEGO Millennium Falcon!

He's now planning to catch up on his sleep in his really, Really, REALLY spare time.
